June 4, 2025 Wednesday Sunny

As night falls, the desk lamp casts a warm glow. Sitting at my desk, I run my fingers over the notebook, eager to record today’s joys and insights.

All day, I’ve been worrying about how to expand clients for the trainee doctors. They’ve dedicated themselves to medical skills—their acupuncture and tuina techniques are improving daily—but lack practical opportunities with patients. That changed this afternoon at the medical equipment expo, where a “meridian physiotherapy course” paired with a meridian device caught my eye—it was the key to solving our problem.

Images of the Jili Troops’ training ground flooded my mind: soldiers massaging sore knees after crawling drills under the scorching sun, patrol officers捶打 (massaging) stiff shoulders after late-night shifts. This device uses pulses to stimulate acupoints like Zusanli and Chengshan, combined with “meridian-pushing” techniques from the course, perfect for relieving their long-term meridian blockages from overexertion. I remembered Officer Zhang from last week’s police station義診 (free clinic), rubbing his back and saying, “My chronic leg pain makes climbing stairs a struggle.” How wonderful it would be to let them try this therapy!

I used to think doctors only needed to “wait for patients,” but today I realized: great medical skills need smart promotion. Like this meridian device—even with proven efficacy, it would remain unknown without proactive outreach to military medical offices or organizing “Police-Citizen Health Experience Days.” This afternoon, I drafted a cooperation plan: invite police representatives for trial sessions, record before-and-after comparison videos as case studies, and expand visibility through community free clinics—this “business thinking” requires more careful planning than writing a prescription!

Imagining trainees gaining practical experience and soldiers/police relieving pain to better protect others warms my heart like a flame. Tomorrow’s to-do list is clear: contact the course provider to discuss procurement, schedule a meeting with the military logistics department, and arrange trainee groups for simulation practice… As the窗外蟬鳴 (cicadas outside) fades, I’m wide awake—who knew every “problem-solving” moment in medicine holds a sense of achievement broader than healing itself?

May this small light illuminate more lives. Good night, tomorrow full of promise
